World Record Broken!

Rush Open San Diego was more than a weekend of competition. This year, the event also became part of a global soccer moment.

As a host site for a world record attempt, Rush Open San Diego helped bring players together to take part in the record for the most people juggling a soccer ball around the world at once. Across 43 cities, 22,000 participants joined in globally, juggling together for 10 seconds.

Players at Rush Open San Diego took the field, joined the worldwide attempt, and helped officially break the record . It was an exciting way to connect our local event to the global soccer community and celebrate the pitches, parks, and communities where the game lives.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped Rush Open San Diego become part of the world record books.

Pre-Register for Discounted Team Action Packages - Only $245

PhotoMules will be on-site at The Rush Open San Diego capturing professional action shots throughout the tourn ament. Teams can take advantage of a discounted pre-registration Team Action Package, which includes one full game of coverage and all digital action photos delivered in a high-resolution, unwatermarked album.

Pre-event pricing is available for $245, but teams must register in advance to guarantee coverage. Prices will increase once the event begins, and only registered teams will receive action photo coverage.

Official World Record Juggling Attempt at Rush Open San Diego

On Saturday, June 6, The Rush Open San Diego will be participating as a host site in an official world record attempt for the most people keeping a soccer ball in the air at the same time. This will take part Saturday morning at Surf Sports park at 9:30 am.

Event Details

What players need to bring:

Size 5 soccer ball
Cleats or athletic shoes

Please make sure players arrive by 9:00 AM so they have time to park, check in, find the correct location, and get set before the attempt begins. Players must register through the official event website to be included and receive a certificate if the record is confirmed.

The $5 registration helps cover your official participation certificate and supports a donation to the adaptation fund, which helps protect places where football is played from the impacts of extreme weather.
