The Scramble Format
Both of the Events (Tournament/Invitational) for The Rush OPEN will be played in a Scramble format. The only Difference is the Championship Series Event for the invitational will be played in Match Play.
How the
team format Plays Out
Tee Shots
After both team members hit their tee shots, one player (except the golfer whose shot was selected) picks up their ball. They will then place it within one club-length of the chosen shot, no closer to the hole.
Second Shot
Both players take their second shot from this new location. Once both have hit, the best second shot is selected.
Third Shot & Beyond
This process repeats—each player hitting from the location of the best previous shot—until reaching the green.
Putting
Once on the green, each player must putt their own ball. The team's lowest number of putts (from either Player A or Player B) is recorded for scoring. Teamwork, precision, and strategy will be key—play smart and go low!
